Luciole LTD, recently under new management, has appointed a new Strategic Acquisitions Developer and Special Operations Specialist, according to people familiar with the matter.
Quentin Cartwright, the youngest son of steel magnate and namesake of Cartwright Steel, Wolfram Tiberius Cartwright, joined the Hive in these newly created roles recently. His hiring was personally overseen by Maren Tinker, new Luciole CEO.
As far as the Observer was able to determine, Quentin has not held a similar position previously, and was most recently studying abroad in Coalbourne. When the Observer reached out to the Coalbourne Chronicle about Quentin, our sister publication responded “who?” After providing additional details to help identify Quentin, the Chronicle did confirm that he served as a clerk of some sort at the Capital.
It is unclear how Quentin’s experience as a clerk will inform his new roles, as his responsibilities are not known to the public at the current time.
What is known is that Quentin comes from one of Auxientia’s most influential business lineages. The story of how W.T. Cartwright forged his iron empire is well known — thanks in part to the number #1 best selling non-fiction title, The Iron Empire, available in bookstores now — and his older sons, Hank and JD, have proven themselves to be worthy inheritors of their father’s legacy.
CEO Tinker’s appointment of Quentin indicates a potential shift in the relationship between Luciole LTD and Cartwright Steel. In years past, there have been rumors about bad blood between the titanic tycoon and the Luciole’s fervid fireflies. While the accusations were spurious at best, the companies have never before made more than distant, professional ties.
The presence of a Cartwright in the halls of the Hive begs intriguing questions about the future of Auxientian Industry. Chief among them for this author being “what is W.T. thinking, sending young Quentin instead of one of his older, more proven brothers?”
Only time can tell.
