Inside sources at City Hall confirmed Mayor Violet Canongrove has personally extended invitations to each of the city’s five powerful factions to send select members to a meeting to “decide on a matter of importance to Auxientia.” Details can only be speculated on at this time but anonymous sources within

FACTORIES STOP WORK!

Robert Irons, the radical who started a movement in labor demands just a few short years ago, is at it again. Irons has been seen in the last few months gathering workers outside a boulevard of facilities in Factory Row. These gatherings have been growing by the day to hundreds of workers picketing. Those who dare cross the picket line to jeers, boos and physical threats have reported a growing deterioration in the conditions within the factories, an increase in abuse from foremen and impossible quotas to wear them down. Fear is rampant among the workers that Irons’ mob labeled “scabs”

STEELWORKS PRODUCTION HALTED

The assembly lines ground to a halt at Gilded Steel and Cogs in Candlewharf on Tuesday. One of the factory workers, a young upstart named Robert Irons, punched out his foreman with “passionate fervor” for his fellow workers. The young man began to berate the other managers and foremen for abusing their power, unfair pay and toxic working conditions. The rest of the workers, inspired by his passion, quickly rallied behind the young Irons and ceased the days work.  By Thursday evening, the workers had agreed to return to the line with promises of better pay and change in management. Missing Tavern Mascot Returned Home

The golden wyvern statue that welcomed patrons to the Gilded Wyvern Tavern in Duhura Market has been returned after disappearing early last week. The statue – affectionately called Gordon by both patrons and staff – was located in the courtyard Auxientius’ Academy for Young Adults. The school groundskeeper discovered the statue hidden between the courtyard wall and a tall shrubbery, with a uniform jacket and scarf draped around its shoulders. Academy President Adrianna Belleview says that the culprits have been identified and confessed to stealing the statue as a “senior prank” before graduating in the spring. “We extend our deepest

Auxientian Police Quietly Close Shifter Investigation

It has been four weeks since the former Mayor Abner “Boss” Shifter’s death.  Occurring just a handful of days after the largely successful mayoral summit, former Mayor Shifter was found deceased in his home when staff arrived the next day. He was last seen the night before, perhaps acting more melancholy than he was wont, an anonymous staff member reported, but otherwise he appeared his usual self. When discovered the next day, the cries from across the city demanded an investigation into his death. Abner Shifter presided over Auxientia during the tumultuous Six Year Siege, where the city faced intense

Protests Become Deadly Riots in Poyais

Weeks of peaceful protests by the people of Poyais devolved into fatal clashes with Imperial forces. Emperor MacGregor has been reportedly closed off from the rabble in his palace and is unwilling to hear any voices of dissent, claiming he had been let down by his absent son, Victor and the Emperor’s estranged daughter, Julia. Sources confirm Victor McGregor’s extended absence since traveling to Auxientia. His distinctive mask nowhere to be seen, the cloud of fear that once hung over an oppressed people is seemingly lifted. Without the Emperor’s son present to stamp down voices of opposition with his well

Factions Unite at Mayoral Summit

In the wake of the latest brutal bombing campaign that destroyed a lumenstone refinery and leveled a city block, Mayor Cannongrove summoned representatives from each of Auxientia’s contentious factions to the mayoral estate to address inter-faction solutions to the troubled city’s direst problems

Bāhira Close Mines Ahead of Meeting

Irregular laborers are alleging they were turned away from Bāhira lumenstone mine entrances this morning without explanation. With no comment from the Bāhira mine operators, speculation is running wild as to the reasons for the decision. Many of the Irregulars on the scene bandied theories that the mine closures are tied to rumors of a chest full of lumenstones allegedly being brought to the mayor’s upcoming meeting as leverage and that the Bāhira are tightening their grip on the city’s primary power supply. “It’s all to do with that bloody meeting. Mark my words, this is a Bāhira stratagem of

Police Reexamine Pearl Disraeli Murder

In what marks a busy week for the Auxientia Police, Chief of Police Tanik Robard announces the inaugural case for the opening of the Auxientia Police Unsolved Cases Unit. As previous articles detailed, the Unsolved Cases Unit or UCU is going to primarily focus on reopening those dusty casefiles of crimes that have yet to be solved, hoping that a review of the evidence with a fresh pair of eyes might shed some light on the perpetrator. “We hope to bring peace to families of those affected by the crimes and bring justice to our city,” Robard explained. Although talk

CITYWIDE PANIC AS BOMB CAUSES CATASTROPHE AT REFINARY

A third bombing has occurred in The Aerie at the largest of the Bahira’s Lumenstone refineries co-owned by the Gilded. The explosive caused a chain reaction throughout the factory as raw, corrupted, lumenstone waste set aside for later disposal ignited. The devastation is severe. Nothing of this magnitude has been seen since the Six Year Siege within the city walls.  The city block in which the refinery sat has been nearly leveled. The surrounding blocks have seen damage as well but are still standing. Thankfully, most businesses were empty, as well as the factory, at the time of the explosion.

Irregulars Respond to Explosions

Observer journalist Stan Hislop managed to secure an interview with Celio D’Amore, operating representative from the Irregular faction. The following is a transcript of that interview which both parties hoped would shed some light on the concerning explosions that have rocked the city. What is your rank among the Irregulars? “I am incredibly lucky to have been chosen as one of the leaders for the Irregulars for the upcoming meeting with the mayor. Among the faction, I’m not exactly anyone special, only a courtesan at the Velvet Pearl brothel, so I feel doubly honored to be given this chance.” Do
