Observer journalist Stan Hislop managed to secure an interview with Celio D’Amore, operating representative from the Irregular faction. The following is a transcript of that interview which both parties hoped would shed some light on the concerning explosions that have rocked the city.
What is your rank among the Irregulars?
“I am incredibly lucky to have been chosen as one of the leaders for the Irregulars for the upcoming meeting with the mayor. Among the faction, I’m not exactly anyone special, only a courtesan at the Velvet Pearl brothel, so I feel doubly honored to be given this chance.”
Do you know anything about the series of explosions around the city?
“In regards to the explosions, we unfortunately know about as much as anyone else – my fellow leader Robert Irons and I are doing our best to track down who could be responsible and rest assured, if it’s one our own, punishment will be swift and appropriate.”
What would you like to say on behalf of the Irregulars?
“On behalf of the Irregulars, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to those affected by the blasts. We are familiar with tragedy ourselves but nothing of this magnitude. We give nothing but well wishes to those who have been injured and hope the rebuilding process will be quick.”
How are the Irregulars planning to help those affected by the explosions?
“Well, Stan, I’m glad you asked this question. I was hoping at the upcoming meeting with the mayor to offer the services of Irregular workers in helping rebuild everything that was destroyed. Construction of new buildings, of course, but also to replace what was damaged in the blast; our people are magnificent with machines and I’m sure would help with the machinery damaged from the Luciole explosion. But are fingers are just as nimble with smaller creations – my own brother before he passed was a calligrapher and we have many more who could help create copies of the documents lost in the East Tower explosion.”
How do you think this will affect the upcoming talks being hosted by the Mayor?
“All in all, we hope these tragedies don’t affect the talks in regards to faction relationships. We wish for nothing more than for our peers to feel safe and comfortable in this city we share and hope we can aid in any way in achieving this.”
The Observer shares similar sentiments and hopes that there will be no further explosions to come.
