Lumenstone Danger Must Be Addressed

1 min read

Reader, I write today to speak to an everpresent danger that permeates every strata of our city’s infrastructure. A danger called lumenstone. For too long our city has been so reliant upon the mass usage of lumenstone in our power systems. In so doing, we have exposed ourselves, unwittingly, to extreme danger.

My name is Luther Quatermain Cogwright, and I am an expert in electrical energy and power transfer dynamics. I have been working at Luciole, Ltd. for a long count of years, where I have expanded my knowledge of various methods of power production and studied the potential risks and dangers inherent to said methods. It is through said research that I have uncovered a deadly threat lurking within the heart of our city.

When lumenstone is cut and refined improperly, as is so often the case in mass production, and then used as a source of power, it will inexorably corrupt over time, becoming highly dangerous and volatile in the process. Introduce a corrupted lumenstone to an ignition source such as an open flame or an electrical current, and it will rapidly combust, or at worst, instantly detonate. I believe this to be the explanation for several recent industrial fires and explosions that have happened of late within the city itself. With the ever-expanding advent of new steam and electrical technologies, the inherent risks of lumenstone usage shall only become further pronounced. Our city does not have the means to ensure that each individual lumenstone is produced to the standards required for proper safety in mass usage. This being the case, the way forward is clear.

I implore you to write to city representatives and urge them to keep lumenstone usage where it belongs, in the production of jewelry and such artworks, where its risk of corruption will be minimized. No longer can Auxientia be reliant upon lumenstone for our infrastructure, if our city is to be safe. Steam and electricity is the way of the future, fellow Auxientians. Encourage progress. Eliminate that which we no longer need. Be safe.
